Lovely view of a typical Italian street in Florence, with a perfect amount of light and shade. You can almost hear the soft Italian accents, chattering in the background, and smell the wonderful aroma of Italian cooking. The old Fiat 500 is so typical of Italy, together with the bicycles leaning up lazily against the walls. I just love this painting! And was really sad when I sold the original! It looks really nice next to "The Rivals", another Mediterranean street scene.
